Max [WinXP] doesn't start any more
Hi all,
a very strange problem occured over night: Max doesn't start up any more.
When I double-click the MAX-icon, the harddisk loads a little bit, but after a few seconds, it kind of freezes. No window is opened, there's no more reaction.
In taskmanager I see a CPU load for max.exe of 50%, which stays stable until I force quit the process.
I didn't change anything in my system - it was all working properly. All other audio-applications are still working.
Even Max Runtime is working without any problems.
So I thought, it could have to do with the ILock key.
I tried to reinstall (first repair, then uninstall...), both Max and ILock Drivers, but it didn't change anything. I even did a recovery of the cycling74 folder with a former working state, but it didn't change.
Has anyone an idea, what could cause the problems?
My System:
XP Prof. 2002 SP 2
sorry I forgot:
My System:
MaxMSP 4.6.3
Jitter 1.6.3
Fireface 400
Hi Martin,
If the runtime is starting without error, this would indicate that it
may be a PACE related issue.
I would recommend trying to download and install the latest iLok
drivers, found here:
If you are still having difficulties, please email support at cycling74
dot com and we will get you straightened out.
All the best,
-Ben
