Max Workshop: Using Collab-Hub with Max for Collaborative Network Performance (September 19th @ Music Hackspace)
Hi all!
This coming Sunday, we'll be hosting an introductory workshop online with Music Hackspace on using Collab-Hub and Max to design collaborative network performances. Collab-Hub is a tool that helps artists, musicians, circuit-benders, game developers, and creative coders share data effortlessly between remote systems and collaborators (or on the same local network). You can check out a performance we put on using Collab-Hub to share data across the internet here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzWTqegK-Rc&list=PLDRHBrWLcIk8ZYUqIuQO7xpK3IjMVYERn
Collab-Hub runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and can work with most performance setups. The current version includes client applications for a web interface, Max, and Pure Data. We intend to continue releasing new client applications in the near future and will be launching support for platforms such as Arduino, P5.js, Unity, and the Monome Norns in the coming months!
To join, please head to Music Hackspace using this link to register: https://musichackspace.org/events/using-collab-hub-with-max-for-collaborative-network-performance-live-session-september-19th/. You can download our Max Collab-Hub client ahead of time at https://www.collab-hub.io/ While the workshop will focus on introducing everyone to the ins-and-outs of Collab-Hub's within Max, we do recommend that attendees have a basic understanding of how to work within Max to build a patch and route data throughout it before joining.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
