MaxChat : a chat max patch - please beta test me !

    Hi all,
    Here is a first attempt to make a chat patch in max. Still very beta, but seems to work...

    the server patch will be available as soon as it will be alpha-tested...

      argh... Jitter needed. Now, I really have a reason to buy it ! ;-)

      I only think Jitter is needed to pull your IP-adress, just enter it in the field , and i should work..... i think :)
      but still lotsa reasons to buy jitter though

      Exactly, jitter is the only way I know to get your internet IP address... If you don't have it, enter your IP address manually.

      put this between the 'textedit' and the 'route text' object.... then i wont output when the user changes window

      I managed to create a mxj MSN external which makes it possible to chat via that lovely Microsoft protocol (hehe), though it is way more interesting for performances etc. It is in a very early beta state but already able to chat and receive files sent by an official MSN application. I'll post the external soon on the list.

      Hey, that sounds interresting! But you need a .net passport to login to MSN network... no? And will it work in a local network? I would love to test it...

      You can also do that with "mxj net.local". Don't know if it's better for windows through...

      Yes, but it only gives the LAN address, not the WAN one.
