max/msp doesn't open anymore

Hey,

I've installed a patch today on my computer (Macbook Pro, OSX 10.9.4). It opened, but after closing it, it wasn't possible any longer to open max/msp or runtime at all. I deinstalled all max versions and installed it again, but it crashes immediately. I haven't changed anything on my computer, also deleted the patch (which works on every other computer so far).

Any ideas where the problem could lie?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Paul
On WINDOWS the solution is to delete the folder "Max 6 Preferences Files" located at

C:\Users\tada\AppData\Roaming\Cycling '74\Max 6 Preferences Files

but i am not sure if this folder exists on macOS also.
Cheers

Here are the clean out instructions for both platforms

Thanks for your help!
Unfortunately there's no ~/Library/Application Support/Cycling '74 to delete. Also after reinstalling either Max5 or Runtime 6.1 it crashes immediately after opening (or only opens the file after minutes). I try to install the OS X again, or downgrade to 10.6 - maybe there's some compatibility problem...
