I am currently working on a project on MaxMSP. I would need to use MaxMSP to send data to an Android app in a mobile phone in the same room. The laptop running MaxMSP and the phone running the android app will be on the same network. What is a good way to do this?

I downloaded this app called "Max/MSP Control"(

This patch will send the current value of the [print] object to your Android device on port 7400. You will need to install an OSC client on your Android device that is listening on port 7400.

Using OSC (Open Sound Control): OSC is a lightweight messaging protocol that is widely used for communication between audio and visual applications. To use OSC to send data from MaxMSP to an Android app, you will need to install an OSC client on your Android device. Once you have installed an OSC client, you can use the [udpsend] object in MaxMSP to send OSC messages to your Android device.

Using a networking library: You can also use a networking library, such as UDP or TCP, to send data from MaxMSP to an Android app. To do this, you will need to create a TCP or UDP connection between MaxMSP and your Android app. Once you have created a connection, you can use the [udpsend] or [tcpsend] objects in MaxMSP to send data to your Android app.
