For example how jit.gen has the ability to lookup other pixels than the one being processed with [nearestpix]. I don't think that's possible other than re-routing the output back in with a feedback loop and re-arrange the index outside? Correct? 

Would it be possible to have this functionality within MC.Gen~? I think it would be a massive convenience from a control standpoint and also allow for (if i'm not mistaken) something i can only describe as "2d-filtering" or a "filtermesh"? 

<edit> and also btw. can we have reserved keywords for the send/receive combo so i can send "there" but receive "here"? Sending "here" or receiving "there" just doesn't sound the same...

Answering myself here but no, not possible because jit.gen receives the matrix as a whole in memory and uses that while mc.gen calculates it on the fly... 

[nearestchannel history] maybe? Let Gen calculate each sample, store the result in memory and allow for cross-channel lookup with a delay of 1 sample? I think that would work?
