mcp.record~ buffer names

Hi Forum,

I'm working with mcp.record~ and I need to give the buffer names of the different channels via a message. The "setvalue n <name>" message doesn't work and the "applyvalues <buffernamelist> doesn't work either. I tried the "applymessage <buffernamelist>" message too without success.

I know that one can give the buffer names as an attribute, but in my system, I need these names to be dynamic, so I want to give them via a message.

Any solution?

Thanks in advance

For some reason, today the couple mcp.record~ / mc.groove~ works properly... (maybe because I just updated Max to the last version?)

For some reason, though, sometimes when the user updates the buffer name, the mpc.record~ starts to record (that is strange).

Of course, one can organize the ensemble of buffers to record with a polybuffer~ that is more useful for managing multiple buffers.
