FWIW I have no particular problems on retina MacBook Pro with vst versions of MP plugins. THe only issue I've had is when using absolutepath to find the plugin folder before loading into vst - there's another folder in Applications that it tends to find instead. I either rename that, or specify the exact file path to the read message into the vst object.

thank you, I really have no idea about what's going on so I ended up using the AU version of the plugins, which show up as they should.
