I would really like to be able to get access to and display on screen the measure numbers and meter changes embedded in an imported standard MIDI file that will be played by a [seq ] object.

Can't find anything in the object reference material that indicates this is even possible, so this may be an easy answer for someone, especially for anyone who knows for sure that the answer is a definitive "can't be done."

BTW ... the goal of this exercise is to create an application that would enable me to create customized metronomes for compositions with loads of meter changes from standard MIDI files
