MIAP (Manifold-Interface Amplitude Panning) v2.1.0 Release
Hello everyone!
MIAP v2.1.0 is done. Better late than never!
Please grab the release here: https://www.zacharyseldess.com/miap/downloads/
To install the package, simply unzip, move to your Max 8/Packages folder, and restart Max.
v2.1.0 has quite a few improvements and additions, but here's a short-list of the most important updates:
Intuitive mouse-based map authoring and editing is now supported with [MIAP.map].
new interaction modes (@mode attribute) providing ability to
navigate the map (i.e audition)
create/delete and edit nodes
create/delete trisets
create and edit virtual and derived node links
[MIAP.map] @reporthints attribute provides helpful authoring/editing hints appropriate to currently active interaction mode.
@cartesiangridsnap and @polargridsnap provide optional snap-to-grid functionality for node placement and movement.
Updated and improved help and examples patches, and new reference documentation.
Optional support for MC signal outlet (vs. traditional single-channel outlets) in [MIAP~]
Windows version of [MIAP.meyer] (previously only available on macOS)
There are three new videos added to the MIAP youtube playlist that walk through these and other updates:

If you're inclined to watch these, I recommend the following order:
MIAP v2.0.0: what's new?
MIAP v2.0.0: map authoring with MIAP.map
MIAP v.2.1.0: updates to MIAP.map
Lastly, I expect this to be added to the Max Package Manager at some point (application submitted to Cycling '74), making future updates much easier to distribute. I will send a short announcement if/when that happens.
Mappy patching (all from within Max now)!
Best,
Zachary
Very interesting tool. Thank you!
Hi,
I will dive in, for sure, as a long user of the Matrix3 hardware . Thanks for your effort.
