MicroKORG in Max?
Hello all,
I am a new user to the MAX/MSP world and thought for my first project, I'd set myself a cracking task! I am wanting to recreate the microKORG synth within MAX/MSP therefore any MIDI keyboard can control the microKORG interface. Anyone that is familiar with the microKORG will know it has many preset sounds, I want to choose one sound from each category and recreate it on logics ES2. I have decided to add a visual EQ and waveform to replace the patch settings (see attached image). Now, i am unsure on a couple of things, firstly, the million dollar question, what is the best way to get started? Also, can i make it look pretty (i.e like the microKORG on screen) or will it just like a 14 year olds bedroom full of wires and objects!
Any help will be EXTREMELY appreciated!!!!!
Best way to start:
- MSP tutorials on synthesis.
- Max example "Classic vocoder".
But maybe even Max tutorials if you haven't made them! (You don't seem to know about Presentation mode, etc. Yes, you can make a patch "pretty").
- analysis of the microKorg manual
Jean-Francois.
Hello Jean, thankyou for the reply, you suggestions so far have been extremely useful. I understand about presentation mode however want to know if it could reflect the image I attached (ie. Look like a microKORG on screen).
Thankyou again!
Ben
