I recently updated my machine to a macbook and max/msp to 4.6.1. Now 

when I try to read midi files in either seq or follow I get a pop up 

window saying "bad midi file" - this even happens when I open the 

help files for these objects (the help files autoloads some test midi 

midi-bug-in-4-6-1

This has been reported and fixed for the next MaxMSP update.
