im using a midi controller with a shift function giving a slider or knob two midi numbers e.g 32 and (64)shift. but when i switch between them and change position of the knob then switch back there is a huge jump in volume or effect parameter ive mapped it to.

is there any way for the knob to wait until the number it was at before hitting shift is reached again when switched back to initiate it eliminating jumps in the signal?
