MIDI ports being reset and disabled when plugging peripherals

Hi,

I've been having some issues with Max 9.0.8: whenever I connect/disconnect a peripheral (USB MIDI controller, Gamepad controller via USB or Bluetooth, even my phone via USB) all the MIDI I/O gets reset & deactivated (I get the message : midi_mme: error opening [etc] for all my I/Os). I have to close Max and reopen it for it to work again. I've also encountered this issue in a patch where I was using jitter Geometry objects (a basic 3-object patch): whenever I would open the patch, when it finished loading it would give me the same MIDI I/O error messages. I had to delete all the jitter.geometry objects for it to work.

I've even tried with my XP-Pen tablet, and I get the same issue. Could someone help me or could someone at Cycling 74 address this bug? I never had that before and it's really making me nervous as I'm using Max for all my live shows and music workshops and I absolutely NEED it to work properly.

Here are my specs :

Laptop:

Processer 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12800H (2.40 GHz)

RAM 32,0 Go

Type of system: 64 bits, processer x64

OS:

Windows 11 Family Edition

Version 24H2

OS Build: 26100.4946

Thank you very much for your help!
