Mira.multitouch feature request

Hi guys, another feature request here!

I was looking for a way of integrating some step sequencer/monomish control schemes with Mira.
I found using the Horizontal/vertical regions in the inspector of mira.multitouch gave a very nice and flexible grid based controller. I noticed that if you touch this object the region you are touching will light up.

This is great but I can't help but feel like I'd like a lot more control over this lighting up of regions. It would be nice to be able to send messages from Max so we can make interactive patterns dance across the screen or even have these regions latch like a toggle.

With this idea of being able to spit the multitouch into regions while being able to detect where in the region the user touched and give some pretty visual feedback I can see this object alone making my Launchpad redundant.

As it stands at the moment the only way I can have flexible control over lighting up regions is to place a 'panel' object over each region and send bgcolor messages to it, this seems to slow down Mira quite a lot with it having to draw so many objects on screen.

Anyway, very much enjoying this new app and looking forward to it's evolution, I can see it being an irreplaceable tool in my live set up once it's matured a bit and saving me from lugging around hardware controllers to shows.

@farfisavox Thanks for the feedback. I agree, that sounds like a really cool feature for multitouch. Let's see what we can't do for the next version...

Thanks Sam, looking forward to the day where I can just throw my MacBook, iPad and soundcard into a bag and be ready for anything.
