i'm not a huge fan of open source, but now that afaik apple is allowing anyone to load their own programs w/o paying for dev license seems like it'd be a good way to get around some of the limitations and hassles of the app store. charge for year of non-forum support instead? although i dunno how much has to be done internally to max itself.
more than touch interaction i'd be into mira as a way to offload visuals/ monitoring information. iOS seems good at handling gpu stuff without a ton of heat.. i use a lot of that when prototyping a patch to see that things are going as expected, but visual updates within max environment give very inflated sense of cpu usage. :) then there's the issue of putting my monitoring apparatuses into separate window/patch means more window management or if i put it right into the patch it's more housekeeping to clean up later...let it handle visual updates of number~, multislider, scope~, message, toggle, etc.
it'd also me useful to me to show and interact with independent console, inspector and reference materials w/o taking over mouse cursor.
