Mira with a usb connection ?

I've just seen the new touchable app which is able to connect with a wire. Since losing wi-fi connection is what stops me from using Mira on stage, would this be doable ?

Thanks !!

This would be a major improvement.
Mira is a good idea, but to my mind it seems to be in some sort of beta status.

Sometimes, Mira feels like a motherless child. As an early adopter, I would like to see more attention from C74 for it. And yes, USB would be a good idea.

Bought day 1, didn't see that much improvement, that's sad.
On the other hand, i didn't experience losing connection for a while. Did you ?

No, but I feel really short with the compatible objects list. I know C74 has been really busy for Max 7, and that seems like a huge step (albeit many still fight with the workflow) but I hope it's in the pipes now.

Lighting-USB support would be a much appreciated feature.
Wifi is not reliable, and slow.

It's not Mira, but check out the new Duet display app (duet display.com) that lets you connect an iPad to a Mac via USB for use as an external display with functioning touch features.

You could use this YouTube trick: connect ipad to a USB hub (COMPUTER SIDE of the hub) thru a lightning to USB adapter. Then on devices side, plug a Ethernet-USB adapter. You now have iPad with Ethernet. Plug it into a DHCP router so that it gets an adress.

iOS will say it is not supported but it will work.
I admit it is complicated since you need one USB hub and 2 adapters for each iPad...
