Modeling Synthesis Demo

Hi everyone,

I would like to demonstrate simple physical modeling synthesis to some
beginning electronic musicians (just to give the feel of what modeling
synthesis is).

Can anyone send me (or point me to) a free patch or even a stand alone
windows application that I could use for this?

I've got Perry's STK downloaded on my windows platform, but I don't think I
have enough time to get it up and running. However, if someone has a quick
tutorial on how to get something running from the STK, that would work too.

Thanks very much for your help.

David.

There's also physical modelling for control data for music synthesis a la pmdp.

There's a port to max linked from this page.

Hi David, some free stuff here. http://rosebud.luton.ac.uk/madwiki/index.php/Music_Technolog y
Patches are a bit of a mess though so maybe not too good for beginners. I have some simpler stuff which I use for teaching myself, if you get really stuck then mail me off list and I will send something.
