Multi speaker setup

Hi!

I'm having trouble with something that sounds solvable: I have a soundcard with 4 outputs and I'm trying to send out music to 2 stereo devices (different sound to each). I made a setup which I thought should work, but, for some reason, I can't find a way to output my 3rd channel to the 3rd output. If I send either "set 3" or just "3" to mc.dac~ I still get one of the first 2 channels in the best case.

What am I missing?

Thank you in advance!

Hello Márton,

It works fine here. Did you check the I/O Mapping in Max under Options > Audio Status > Open I/O Mappings? Are the Max Output Channels 3 and 4 mapped to channel 3 and 4 of your audio interface?
Also most multichannel Audio interfaces come with their own routing/mixing program. It might be a routing issue there as well. For example: I remember vaguely that configuring some Focusrite cards to simple multichannel output was somewhat unintuitive...
Cheers,

Jan

Thank you Jan!

It seems like you are right, I also have a Scarlett soundcard. I'll have to dive in deeper, but routing in it's app seems promising.

Best,

Márton
