multi-touch mouse object?
Very excited about the new muli-touch mouse on the new laptops. Anyone figure out a patch for that yet? i know Masayuki Akamatsu is usually our man for this, but i don't see anything listed on his website.

It's a great honor which is far more than I deserve.
Gimme a latest MacBook Pro for me ;-)
Best,
Masayuki
yes Chuck,
you re right Masayuki Akamatsu is our man for this!!
and i already asked him for a kaoss pad system like when you use the two fingers on the trackpad ;)
but now the iphone SDK is out we have to be really patient
:D
PS: i still have to pay a coffee to M A ;)
freeka
nah not possible,
it need a special driver....
when you use the two finger, hi give you an extra value (two finger) but then X Y axis are stopped...
look here:

grozona!!!!
Hi,
This might not be what we want but....
http://wcrawford.org/?s=Multiclutch+
Maybe we want to operate multiple sliders/buttons at a time, don't we ?
Thanks,
Masayuki
yap indeed, i guess that will work for the initial demand of Chuck .
then what i am looking for is totally different..
i'm looking for something that give us the X and Y axis of the trackpad ( the finger position and not the cursor position as mousestate actually does) and Z value as pressure , pressure with two finger, no pressure etc...
the aim will be to have the touchpad moving the cursor with single finger, and touchpad acting like XY slider with two finger..
youp youp
I'll have ahold of a new MBP next week, I'll look into this, shouldn't
be that difficult.

From exploring around a bit it seems that the only things exposed are
the gestures, rotate, swipe, and scale.
Which would be useful, it doesn't seem that you can just get both
finger positions absolutely.
The trackpad is not Z sensitive.
