Multislider to FFT help
I'm doing a project involving recording and analysing very low frequency sound and tried to make a maxpatch to help with this.
I modified one of the examples from FFT Fun and am using a multislider object to input values when drawn with the mouse. What I want is to be able to select very short bands so I can use the multislider to control the FFT almost like a band on a filter, drawing isn't a very accurate way of doing this. I made a solution which does exactly what I want up to the multislider object - writing values of either 0 or 1 depending on where the band is set (via Rslider). However after this nothings going through to my FFT stage or showing up in any of the peek/buffers. I feel i am not articulating this problem particularly well so I've attached the patch
Is there a patch that should go in your pfft~ object?
Yes,
forgot to post that
here it is
What is that + object doing? You're summing the outputs of rslider, then redirecting that to a bang?
I think you should look at the trigger object, and make sure that your order of operations is what you think it is. I had a lot of trouble trying to follow the signal flow through your patch because of the way you laid the patch cords on top of one another. But, the problem is in that bunch of objects. Also, you might like the Uzi object.
Here it is: the set message to multislider does not trigger output. You want the "select" message.
