New Max/MSP diary blog post

Hi everyone,

I've just posted entry five of my Max/MSP diary blog, in which I tackle the evolution of a patch from something rubbish to something (hopefully) half-good. It's got audio and plenty of screenshots, as well as Max patch downloads.

Thanks to everyone who's been reading and who's helped with problems I've had. As before, if anyone has any improvements to my patch then let me know!

If anyone's interested and hasn't read any of my learning Max blog, here's part one:

Cheers all!

Well done for improving your patch. I made something quite similar when I was first introduced to the software about a year ago. What do you plan to explore next? One small point you might want to note: when posting your patch as text online you can highlight all or any of it and then choose "copy compressed" from the edit menu and the resulting text will be much shorter. It will look like nonsense but it will mean less scrolling around. This is especially useful if you post bits of your patches on this forum.

Enjoy your max adventures!

Hi Chris,
This is a very simple improvement but I think you will like it. In the top-level interface patch, attach the output of the soundgeneration subpatch to a [gain~] object. Now you can control the volume. This also allows you to get rid of the [*~ 0.2] object in the soundgeneration subpatch if you want.

Again Chris, another good read and another step to a great studio tan.
Using your computer and Max as tanning oil ;)
