no such object (radiogroup)
Hi,
The objet "radiogroup" disappeared from all my patches.
Could someone explain me precisely how I have to solve the problem( example: where to find it , reinstall, exact directory, a.s.o...)?
Thanks,
Laurent.

You probably have a file named radiogroup somewhere in your Max search paths. Something like radiogroup.maxpat.
In Max, go to Files > Show Files Browser, type "radiogroup" in the search bar and see what comes up.
Haha. That's a fun one.
I have, in the past, name a coll "toggle"
Later when I opened max all toggles diappeared
took many days to find
Completely reinstalled max
Deleted prefrences
Maybe there should be a 'don't do this guide for idiots like me'
Hi TFL,
Yes, that was the problem. I saw in the file browser that I created a little patch with the name "radiogroup". So there was a conflict. A renamed this little patch and it's ok now, after relaunching the other patches.
The lesson is: never create a patch with the name of an Max object.
Many thanks!
Have a nice week-end,
Laurent.
actually one could think that nowadays a program like max would warn you about already existing names, at least for the factory set of compiled objects (which probably nobody will ever deinstall from his search path)
otoh, if you create a patch called "toggle" or "radiogroup" the chance is also very high that it will create conflicts when sharing it with friends or with your future project in 5 year from today. so don´t do it. always use unique names.
