Numark NS7 and MAX/MSP Mapping
I am working on implementing an interface to the Numark NS7 controller in Max/MSP. The controller's MIDI input and output are pretty much clearly defined in the PDF here:
Pretty much, that is, except for the numbers coming from the platter positions. As far as I can tell they are 14-bit pitchbend values, but they seem to be completely arbitrary. I get random numbers across the range whether I am pushing the platters hard or slightly nudging them.
Has anyone else made an effort to use this interface with Max?
Hey there. Were you able to figure this out? I'm experimenting with the V7 - the single turntable version of the NS7 with no mixer - and seeing the same in the platter data.
