I've also catched this Crash On Any Help Page desease since version 7.3.2.
Try this trick if your OS is Windows x64, it worked for me:
Check if "C:\ProgramData\Max 7\Examples" folder is empty or full of empty folders. If YES,
Quit Max For Live
Quit Ableton Live
Delete the whole Examples folder
Start Ableton Live
Start Max For Live
Check if Examples folder contents gets restored by Max For Live
Try opening help pages
Post your result here
Hi there . Yes definately the examples folder can be the issue ( im not sure why) but since the package manager implementation or before i cant reacall correctly , its happening that my max examples tab is not showing the examples so i have to reach them manually throught the explorer .
At the moment that trick seemed to help . I can now open the jit.matrix helpfile without a crash . Also the examples tab has been restored and i have direct access to the examples again , GREAT .
Weird windows bugs...
Now i got a different problem since max is warning me that i have multiple objects called jitter in my search path... god, I fix something , two more problems come as usual !
I have the exact same Problem. Deleting the examples folder doesn't help. Both Max and Live are updated to the latest version. I tried 32 & 64bit versions. I'm running Windows 7 64bit.
I hope you have any more tipps! Thanks
I should add, that the examples are present in the folder in the windows explorer but are not shown in the examples menu inside max...
