Is there a plug-in I need to install or something to see the patches people post? Or is it something I need to do within the program to display these? All that comes through is letters and numbers (w/in the forum questions when people attach). Basic question probably - please advise. thanks

just copy everything, but make sure you include ----------begin_max5_patcher---------- as well as -----------end_max5_patcher-----------

then just paste into an empty max patcher or option+apple+n. that should do the trick. same for max 4.x code: copy and paste. max5 code can't be opened in max4, but you knew that.

yeh, or just copy the lot, fire up max and choose file > new from clipboard.

to generate this code yourself, select objects and choose edit > copy compressed.
