path_getdefault() missing from max-api

hi, path_getdefault() seems to be missing from max-api which is being used by max-devkit. Is there any way around that? I'm also missing bangout(), intout() etc. for creating typed outlets. Are they obsolete? Should we be using outlet_new() instead? Thanks!
