PGR FireFlyMV / libdc1394 / MBP osx 10.8.2

Hi,

im trying to setup a PGR-FireflyMV camera in a MBP osx 10.8.2 to reach 60fps.

the camera is detected by the system and jitter, under device IIDC->input "Camera" but im only getting 30fps

googling i found that using "libdc1394" drivers can improve the performance and give the right FPS for this camera.
i installed "libdc1394" and seems working because examples/grap_grey_image give me a png file with a frame,
but in jitter theres no a new device or input to use the camera with "libdc1394". im missing something?

somebody have experience with a similar setup getting 60fps?

best!

problem solved..... if you find yourself in the same situation:

sending messages in this order to jit.qt.grab: framerate 60 and colormode uyvy will give you 60fps
then you can set again colormode to argb or convert the image to argb with shader or jit.uyvy2argb

dont need nothing else, mountain lion handles fine pgr fireflymv camera...

Carsol, I have a macbook pro 2.4 Ghz Intel Core i5 with 4GB RAM
and OS X 10.8.2 but each time I try to open the jit.qt.grab Max 6 crashes.
I have a FireFly MV firewire camera but I'm able to use it only with quicktime player, Skype, messenger and quicktime 7 not with max 6.
This is really strange do you have some suggestions for me?
Usually jit.qt.grab works well

There were some issues with jit.grab/jit.qt.grab and OSX which were fixed in the 6.1 update. This might solve your problems.

The following is probably not your issue, but I just posted it in another thread regarding built in iSight issues and will include it here anyway for general knowledge.

I solved my problem manually set jit.qt.grab to size 640 480
with this settings no crash and I can use my firefly mv firewire camera
Thanks for your help joshua
