I'm looking to create a patch which plays the piano in a specific order of notes in which I code in. Has anyone tried something similar? I searched the forums but I thought it might be helpful to post a thread for Max 7 as most the threads were for Max 5. Any advice is helpful :)

Although the Max environment looks different, did you consider chasing down the objects mentioned? You might want to look at the the 

 object, which has come down the pike more recently, too.

Greg! Thanks for the live.step object information. I winded up using a metronome, a counter, and a patch within the patch which plays a midi frequency. It looks as if live.step is a more advanced version of this process.
