I'am developing a music browsing system and I need to play random mp3

files from the folders on the hard drive. In particular, I want to

control the shuffle function in max/msp so that with bang i could trigger

Hey, how did the playback of the mp3's go? When using the "import" command to buffer~ for mp3's it's always taken forever to load, and everything freezes up while it's loading. How was your experience with that part?

@hotsquare, look to the auto-populate feature for [umenu], it's the most straightforward way to access folders of videos, images, sound files, etc.
