Playing longer files in max for live?

Hi ..

I´m a new in here..
I ask for an advice if exist in Max for Live a midi device, with which I coulkd play my longer samples (30 sec. - 1 min).

I tested Buffer Shuffler 2.0 but it is not just like I need.

I own Launchpad and I could play in session mode audio files/loops.

I ask if exists a device in max for live to use it like a step sequencer to play my longer files.
Otherwise I will play them as audio files like I recorded them in session mode on my Launchap.

Thank you very much for your help,
Matej

Simpler ? Sampler ? Assign audio clips to a kbd range. There are mamy ways that don't imply MFL.

I tried with the Simpler, but the volume of samples drops down in time.
It would be perfect to use a Simpler and put many loops and switch between them and play them like in the grrovebox.

I thought, if you know for any device in MFL, which can solve my problem?

Thanks,
Sonoquilibrium

I'm not sure I quite understand what you want speaking of a step sequencer. Why can't you use MIDI to trigger clips with these sounds within Live? Perhaps using follow actions to play one after the other?

The volume drop in Simpler is due to the volume envelope. How long are the samples that you want to play? Making sure the Sustain setting is at 0.0dB and holding the key the triggers the sample for the duration will ensure there is no volume drop.

Hi CPHAS !

Now I tried to put the clips into drum rack and I don´t have anymore that fade-out, which I had before in step sequencer.
I don´t know why hapenned that, also if my ADSR settings for sustain was set on high value (long time).

I wanted just to play my recordings using the Launchpad.

I wanted to use the step seq. as main device to play my sounds like I would play them using the keyboard.
That was my main idea.

Thanks for your response anyway,
Matej
