Hi Forum

Is it possible to play a surround wave in Max 5?

You can specify multiple outputs with [sfplay] by including the number of channels as an argument. You can then set [dac~] to play to the desired channels by including them as arguments. Have a look at the patch below.

Max Patch
Copy patch and select New From Clipboard in Max.

Thanks Luke

My question is if Max is capable of reading surround wave formats.
I bounced one with LogicPro but my sfplay~ with 6 ch gives no audio

Once again
Thanks

Ah, sorry for the misunderstanding. I'm having no trouble reading an 8 channel wave file, I'm only sending it to stereo outputs though. Perhaps your prblem is on the logic side?

Hi

Found the bug:

- Logic should make a bounce in .aiff / surround / interleaved. Bingo!!

Thanks Luke for your help
