Hello everyone. I hope someone can help and I can be helped. I was using Max/Msp to record someone's recital into an sfrecord~. All was good except when I hit the stop button, my computer froze. I had to force quit Max but sfrecord~ didn't properly close the file. Well I think that's what happened. Anyways I have this aiff file that takes up a bunch of space but is unusable. Is there anyway to make this file work or is all hope lost. Thanks for your help.

Hi. Thanks but that didn't work, although that does look like a nice little program. I can open the file with other programs just fine, it's just that every program thinks the file is 0 seconds long and has no information. I'm starting to accept the fact that there is probably nothing that can be done. Well thanks for trying.

you could try soundhack by tom erbe:
http://www.soundhack.com/

but first do a "get info" on your file, if its really only 4 kb or so
in size. then there is nothing in it.

Jeff thank you so much. I didn't see the import raw the first time but I tried it and it worked. Thank you so much. I hope I can be of assistance to you someday. Thanks again.
