plot~ needs some love. What about updates anyway?

hi!
I fell in love with plot~. It's great, but it tends to be a bit slow and let me allow myself to state that I feel it's a bit buggy without being able to give you a concrete example.
I remember I experienced quite some problems with plot~not updating if the contents of a buffer~change and it refers to it.
Also it is soooo much more beautiful and customizeable than waveform and scope~, could potentially replace both of them, but it's too slow..
Also, something more concrete I can say: If I display the contents of a buffer, and send the edit message to plot~, in order to adjust it's, say, line thickness, the dictionary editor also loads a for a really really long time.(this really seems to be a bug)
(the buffer is short, maybe 2 seconds, and I am aware of data thinning messages)

hm..now to the even more general question: is there any hope for bugfixes, or are we heading for paid upgrade to version 7..?
Thanks!

I reported the plot~ refer bug, so that should be fixed sometime. I agree though - I use waveform~ largely because the zoom and select tools are so useful, but plot looks much nicer.

Max Patch
Copy patch and select New From Clipboard in Max.

Can we have a working horizontal zoom? Am i missing something or do we have a very nice plot object that doesn't support zoom since 10 years..?

Edit: try it out, it sort of zooms but not fully, acting rather weird..
