Plug-in soft synth control within Max/MSP

    Hello all,
I want to open a soft synth (I have the Logic Pro 7 application audio unit plug-ins) within Max/MSP and control its parameters within the Cycling 74 application.
Is this possible? For example if I wanted to open Logics ES2 and control sound via various parameters within Max?
    Thanks,

      any problem with vst's
max (as far as i know) does NOT accept AU plug-ins (there might be a au->vst wrapper...???)
and also i belive there is no way of using logic plug-ins outside of logic (i might be wrong there)

No, that is not possible. Inside Max/Msp you cannot open au-plugins.

      Thanks for your replies guys.
I simply need to control various parameters of a sound using controllers I am currently designing a patch for.
The controllers will provide numeric data that I will convert to standard 0-127 MIDI controller stlye information.
Therefore I would like to have a continious synthetic drone, whether it be a simple sine wave or a more complex sound, and have these parameters control elements such as waveform, frequency, resonance, etc.
Is there are a pre-made patch out there with such elements that I could attach my current patch to?
      Thanks,

Note also that Logic's built-in plugins are NOT AU plugins, they are compiled into Logic, and cannot be used outside Logic.
