Possible to live-stream MSP audio over internet?

Hello,

I'm getting some ideas together for an online project, and basically wondered if this was possible.

What I'd like is to have users upload their files either to FTP or straight to my computer (which would then have to be running 24/7), and for these files to be automatically included in the MSP processing. Then for the MSP patch to send a live audio stream back to the website so that people could listen to it.

Any ideas how to set this up?

Best wishes,

I got this working a while back, but I found it to be fairly cpu hungry so depending on how fast your machine is and how hungry your patch is I'd run the shoutcast server on a separate machine.

Thank you, that looks promising.

But will using something like PeerCast allow me to embed the stream onto my website? Ideally I'd like something that people can just listen to in their browser without any hassle. This would be all coming from my MSP patch.

Cheers.
