Posted some simple M4L devices expanding Live's MIDI mapping functionality
Nothing at all fancy, just a few things that really improve my workflow by making MIDI-mappable controls that weren't previously mappable.
1) Time Sig Controls: Increment or decrement the numerators and toggle denominators between quarter and eighth notes for the selected clip as well as for the live set's global transport with your keyboard or MIDI controller.
2) MIDI Recording Quantize Mapper: If you'd rather not have to mouse-dive into the edit menu whenever you want to vary MIDI recording quantize, you can use this control. I mapped it to a slider and marked a piece of tape next to it with the steps.
3) Track MIDI Remotes: I set up many of my controls as toggle CCs rather than notes, which gives some unlikable artifacts with Live's native track monitoring mapping. That is, if you map it to a CC that sends 0/127, it will only toggle between monitoring In and Off and won't step to Auto. This control bypassed that for me. Also, I added another button to map that toggles crossfade channel assignment on the track where the device is loaded.
Stuff really helps me, but I do ridiculous math rock shit so 1 may be of little value. My hope is I can set a precedent such that all of these controls could be natively mappable in the future.
