Problem connecting raspberry pi over ethernet
Hi
I am using RNBO on my raspberry pi with succes using a dedicated router and static ip-address. My current project is developing an instrument for someone else, who I would like to set up with an ethernet cable for her use and tweaking with the online web editor.
Yet when I'm switching over to connecting through ethernet, RNBO does not seem to find connection with the browser on my computer, nor the target list in rnbo max. The ethernet connection is established properly and I can use SSH commands in the terminal to connect with the pi.
'hostname -i' shows 127.0.1.1 for the pi, but even '127.0.1.1:3000' or 'pi.local.:3000' does not seem to connect the web editor in the web browser on my computer.
Any ideas how to go to a next step/solution?
Indeed, I've had this problem consistently and it is unsolved at this point. Because I'm working on a very secure wifi, I am not allowed to add my RPis to the wifi. So, I tried by all means connecting with a simple Ethernet cable between laptop and RPi. This has worked in the past (first couple of months of RNBO) only on Mac. It has never worked automatically on PC and does not work anymore on Mac.
I had to switch to using a dedicated router and wifi.
I did submit this as a bug to the dev team, but I'm not sure how high they are ranking it...
Ok! Same here, at start (pre-summer 2024) it worked occasionally on my mac as well, now it does not. Go dev team! Help us out!
