problem with jitter and Max 6.1 64bits
Hello,
I am french and i sorry but my english is not very good.
I want to know if there is a problem if i use jitter with Max 6.1 on windows 64 bits?
Because i want use jit.window but the screen is black and i can't load a video.
In the help it's the same thing.
I have to install Max 6.0 for to use jitter?
Thank you and sorry again for my english.
quicktime is not supported in 64 bit windows, therefore you can only load .wmv movie files, not .mov.
if you are doing much work with jit.qt.* objects, it's recommended you use the 32 bit version.
Hello
my english is also smallest than the kleenex of my uncle...
I have the same problem as prozack and i would like to know why quick time work on my system (window 64 bit) but not when i use jit.qt* object ?
thank you
quicktime only runs in 32 bit mode. if you want quicktime, you have to use the 32 bit version of max.
And this is not only problem with Max... several multiplatform programming languages and visual environments based on QuickTime in 32bit versions are "blocked" by unupdated to 64bit Windows version of the QuickTime and buggy/unstable 64bit QTkit...
working on a mac with max 64 bit version: what functions does eg. qt.grab already support? which ones are still coming and which ones will not be implemented any more?
is there any documentation regarding quicktime and 64 bit operation yet?
i just fiddled around with jit.qt.grab for a bit and apart the fact that "vmode" is not supported it does not give me any error messages but does quite weird stuff, at least when operating in uyvy...
there is no any other, non-quicktime possibility to ingest a camera feed into max, is there?
