Problems connection Wii controller
I've been trying to connect my Wii controller (motion plus) to my computer to be used with the [disis.aka.wiiremote] object. I'm on OSX 10.6.4 using MaxMSP 5.1.5.
I couldn't pair my controller with my computer, I tried it a few times but nothing worked. Then I came across the "RVL enabler" which seems to be removed from the net. Maybe someone knows were to find it or can post it to this topic for me if it works with OSX 10.6.4?
Since the "RVL enabler" seemed unfindable I kept on searching and came across the "DarwiinRemote". This program works fine, it found my controller and paired it with my computer (in the bluetooth prefPane). I closed the program and tried connecting [disis.aka.wiiremote] again and it worked! I did some experimenting witch the data and tested the range of the bluetooth signal. I looked how far I could go without getting out of range and when I got out of range and went back to my computer I couldn't connect my controller to the object anymore.
I tried running "DarwiinRemote" again(which worked) and afterwards connecting the controller to the object but it didn't connect anymore. I tried a couple of thing with no result and rebooted my computer in the end.
When it got back on I ran "DarwiinRemote" (which again worked) and tried connect the controller to the [disis.aka.wiiremote] object and it worked again.
But now this morning I turned on my computer (it was switched off) and tried to run my Max patch to connect the controller to [disis.aka.wiiremote] and again it din't work anymore. I ran "DarwiinRemote" (which again worked) and tried connecting the object to the controller but again it didn't work, sendng the connect message to the object hangs my computer for a couple of (± 10 s) and when i turn the metro on to monitor the controller Max got stuck and I had to force quit it.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
only one answer: osculator

Thanks for your suggestion but I'm a very poor guy and therefore don't see "Osculator" as an option.
I'm getting into programming my own mxj objects in Java and I would actually prefer to program an object myself instead of using an external. I'm not sure if that's possible but any help in that direction is very welcome.
Hi YNS,
i have exactly the same problem on my macbook since I am on X.6
i am not sure it was the case before.
I second you to ask for some help!
Philippe.
Until now I'm only having success with "JunXion" and "OSCulator". Although "JunXion" is a very nice and versatile piece of software I'd prefer to keep everything in Max.
I wonder why the "RVL enabler" and www.wiili.org seem to be vanished.
