Problems with recording from a webcam
I have bought a Logitech Quickcam Vision Pro for mac to record video. The video is ok, but I get horrible sound quality. It sounds like chipmunks. When I check the audio settings, it seems that the webcam only supports 16000 Hz. In the DSP setting of max I can only choose 44100 hz. I tried sending a message with the sample rate to the grab object, but it does not help. Anyone knows a solution?
Please, can somebody help me. Getting quite desperate here. Thanks

Surprised that you only get 44100 in DSP settings, I have a ton here and it's a basic laptop with a basic soundcard...
so you can't set both the DSP and the grab object to 16000? I would think that would do it. But I'm sure you tried that. ach.
With the other webcams we tested you can selectr more sampling rates. Just with the Logitech it does not work. Question is: Why it does ot work?
