Profiting (financially) from Max, M4L

Hi.
I've been working on a project for some time now, and I think it's comparable in quality/usability/maybe novelty to those I see in the M4L packs section of Ableton, and I'm wondering if there are any real prospects of money to be made through selling it? It seems like there are enough users of Ableton to make it profitable. Does anyone have experience with this? How about in the Mac App store?
Sorry I don't mean to sound greedy, I've just been working a long time on this and wonder if there are any prospects in this way.
Thanks for your opinions.

If you have a great idea for a M4L device, you can definitely sell it and make money. Honestly speaking there are plenty of mediocre M4L packs out there that are making profit. The Mac app store is for stand alone Max applications not M4L devices. Programming is time consuming hard work. If your creation is useful and reasonably priced, people will pay for the convenience of not having to reinvent the wheel. You may not become rich, but at least you will get something.
