Project weirdness: jit.playlist not loading implicit media

Hi,

I'm having an issue with Projects using media files, specifically ones not made by me. I've been getting my students to submit their work as Projects, with their media files consolidated into the usual file structure. When I open the projects, the files show up in the Project window as (implicit), the files are in the media folder, the Project has the media folder in its search path, and instances of jit.playlist show the files names of the relevant files, however nothing loads up and plays. I'm confused, and am suddenly wondering whether I'm forgetting something when showing them how to put their Projects together.

If I make a Project myself and consolidate media in the way I show my students, when I reopen the Project all media loads up and plays fine, perhaps it has something to do with Projects files coming from other computers?? It also seems to be a problem specific to jit.playlist; playlist~ instances seem to load audio files without trouble. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Camille

Ok, so I figured it out myself after a while. Turns out jit.playlist was messing up because I'd changed my video engine settings at some stage and forgotten. Very clever (not). If anyone else has a similar problem, make sure your video engine is set to avf and NOT viddll.
