Projectr usb c

Hi Folks.

This is a very basic question. It is my first time working with projection. I am trying connect my MacBook Pro to a projector. I only have USB-c port available.

I tried the PROJECTR module and the VIEWR module. When I try to connect to the external projector nothing happens.

This works coming from a PC.

This does not work coming from my MacBook.

Any suggestions?

Actually, this may have nothing to do with modules. But instead the external cables. However, since have never done this before, not sure the problem.

Hi,
you should specify what model of macbook pro. From the images you send you need a Thunderbolt 3 to Vga Adapter like this:
https://www.amazon.it/LENTION-ADATTATORE-convertitore-maschio-compatibile/dp/B072PQNVQ9/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1542108258&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=thunderbolt+3+vga+mac&psc=1.
Check that the adapter is Mac compliant, because not all are so.

First check if your mac see the projector, and after drag the window PROJECTOR on to the projector screen and press fullscreen

Thanks ric. Yeah, probably that 'dongle between dongles' is the problem. I looks like Apple sell the Beklin USB-c to VGA so it should work.

In the picture it looks like you connect the projecter via a thunderbolt3/usb c to thunderbolt 2 adapter and then using display port to vga adapter. But unlike the built-in thunderbolt 2 ports on older macs the apple tb3 to tb2 adapters don't carry the display port signal. have you tried a dedicated tb3/usb c to vga adapter?

Thanks Jan. Hopefully they have a tb3 to vga here in a podunk Korea town before friday!
