Protools track names

I have written an object that publishes its audio stream on the network. It is intended for use as a plugin; I am targeting Protools under OS X first, but hope to eventually run it in other host environments.
I want to find the name that the host environment has applied to the track in which an instance of my plugin has been inserted. This will enable me to provide the remote user with the same track name being used by the local Protools user. Any ideas as to how I can access this information?
I posted this query before. I hope that the lack of response doesn't mean that I have missed something obvious in the doc, or that I am not explaining myself clearly enough.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

      Hi Brad,
As far as I know it's not possible. At least, I have never seen any other plugs which can do this. You might have to have a text field for your user.
