Push 3 - touchstrip takeover questions

Hello,

I am looking for a way to have my device tell push 3 to keep the touchstrip in modwheel mode when the track with the device is active.

I would like to use copies of my simple scratching sampler in a drum rack. Unfortunately the touchstrip goes to octave mode when there is a drum rack, but I need it to stay in modhweel mode so I can use it for the scratching / pitching of the samples.

Perhaps there is a nice solution? I have searched but found nothing.
