Question: How to run an already-existing patch within a patch?
Hey all!
I was sure that there was a way to open a fully constructed patch from within another one, but I can't seem to remember (or find!) the object that can do it.
Similar to using the patcher object, but designed for opening an entirely different patch - maybe located in the same folder on my computer - but not one nestled within a main patch. I've got a patch that's got a complex setup (using HI objects, pre-configured midi ins/outs) that I'd rather not copy/paste and redo every single preset again.
Let me know if anybody's got a simple answer, I feel like it's staring right at me and I just can't see it..

You can load it in a bpatcher. That's where the GUI will be embedded in the main patch. Ideal for doing what you mentioned (reusing code/gui/presets/layout).
Aaaaha! That should work, I'll just fuss around with the original in order to get the inputs/outputs I need. Thank you!
just type the name of your patch in a new object . double click on it to open .
a bpatcher is is also good if you have the empty space in your main patch
