question on reloading mp3 [groove~] samples in [bpatcher]

hey people in this community,

having a little bit of trouble, and did not see any resolution on the forum.

i am building a step sequencer system, yet again :) and working with [groove~] and [bpatcher]. i am also working with mp3 files.
but having a small bit of hassle trying to get a nice working 're-loading' of samples for this patch, when closing and re-opening it, to have the sample re-appear.
this is not a life or die situation, but would be nice that i could have this sorted, for future projects.

cheers...

How are you attempting to achieve this at the moment? Perhaps post a small example patch so we can see the problem. Are you using any of the [pattr] objects to save the file paths?

Check out the tutorials on [coll], [preset] and the [pattr] family of objects. Any of these should be able to handle storing the paths to your mp3 files, you can then load them on opening with [loadbang] or similar.

aye, thanks for the pointers. i have been looking deeper into [coll] and others. even after 2 years of maxing, i am still not using many of the objects. mainly because they have not come under my scope just yet.
