I have a controller I made and I am trying to use the joystick to filter a synth sound. I have always used biquad~, but I would like to use something more detailed so I can eq out certain low frequencies and annoying mids. I am messing around with cascade~. I basically want to just control the ceter frequency and Q value of one filter and have the other filters set and not change. Ideally I would like to use 5 filters.

I copied what I did below. It's not working too well. Can someone help me or give me advice on how to improve this?

Here's a joystick control for one filter amongst 4 others.

The 4 'regularly adjustable' filters are linked to the preset box. Simply set up the presets to your requirements you'll be ready to adjust the remaining filter with the joystick (the joystick filter is also connected to the preset box so you can put it in an easily findable position).

The trickiest bit is finding the right 'scales' in order to have the joystick move through the logarithmic display of amplitude and frequency in a useable fashion. I gave it a go but it was still too slow through the higher frequencies.

Once you paste the patch in, save it, close it and then open it again in order to 'find' your joystick in the umenu.
