Quick way to connect outlets/inlets.

Is there a way, for example, to quickly connect one single outlet, to say 50 inlets at the same time?

Shift+Click (on outlet) = connect one outlet to multiple inlets

Ctrl+Shift+Click (on inlet) = connect one inlet to multiple outlets

Very useful time saving stuff! Although that's the fastest short-cut that I know of; it will still take a while with 50 objects. There may be something in the max toolbox (I think it's called that) that could help with this. Someone who knows will chime in!

speaking of that wonderful ToolBox, i keep having (with latest version 14) the same little annoying bug at the launch of max : the max windows says

max: doesn't understand "object"
message: message: no such object
message: message: no such object
patcher: doesn't understand "close"

...and there is a "toolbox" window, either invisible or blank. Is that normal ?
i'm running on macbook os 10.4

for a 50 to 50 connection you could work with dummies:

have custom abstractions with 50 in- and outlets in your path,
and an example patch with them where you once connected
everything.
now when you need two objects being connected the same way,
copy and paste your empty example and rename the objects.

Question from a newbie... There is one txt file to install Maxtoolbox. It says:

"To install the ToolBox

1 - Place the ToolBox folder in one of your search path"

What is "your search path"? I don´t know where have I to copy it.

Thanks in advance an regards.

Solved, now I understand, thanks.

one caveat with the Toolbox, its actions are not Undo-able like other actions are.

That said, it ROCKS!! When you get comfortable with it, you'll never want to work without it again. One outlet to 50 inlets? Blip, done!
